Half-day Private Snowshoe Tour
Imagine a quiet hike through an evergreen forest or mountain views in an alpine setting. Our guides are well-equipped to help you explore the Colorado winter environment on snowshoes with friends or family. For some a day off the slopes is a relaxing way to discover “The other side of Vail.” For others the joys of snowshoeing can replace the thrills of skiing. Beginner to advanced routes are available everyday with full day tours.
Your guide will connect with you prior to your tour day to discuss details and logistics as well as group makeup, interests and the goals of the group.

Logistics & Gear
Snowshoeing tends to be a warmer activity than skiing so dress in layers, particularly a moisture-wicking base layer (cotton against the skin is not recommended). A lightweight winter jacket and snow-proof pants are best, but ski jackets and pants will work fine. We provide backpacks in case you need to shed a layer. Wool / Synthetic blend socks are best, winter gloves, ski hat, and sunglasses are recommended.

what participants are saying
Booked 2 snowshoe tours. The first with Donny S asked for a nice relaxing not too difficult tour. Donny S is a great guide, very knowledgeable and we had a wonderful time. Donny took several pictures with beautiful mountain backgrounds and sent them over to us. My husband then wanted to do a more challenging tour a few days later and Chelsea B did not disappoint. The area Chelsea and my husband snowshoed was not only challenging but absolutely breath taking (pictures). Great tours and experience! Thank you, Donny S and Chelsea B!!
